• No need to tow a trailer.
  
• No need to spend money on trailer
  
• No need to spend money on installing tow hitch on my car
  
• Easier parking at the put in
  
• Easier parking in your driveway
  
• Easier maneuvering in traffic
  
• Fewer rock chips in boat
  
• Save on trailer registration
  
• No trailer wiring hassles
  

Con's

• Inevitable scratching of car paint during one of the cartopping maneuvres
  
• Most likely needing a second person to help with loading and unloading of the boat
  
• Lots of lifting
  
• Don't get to park in boat trailer only parking at a crowded put-in.
  
• Slower getaways and more opportunity to for gawkers and Parking Lot Syndrome.
  
• Probably lower gas mileage--may be a tossup.
