The best arguments for a trailer are A) no more lifting the boat onto your roof at the end of the day and B) no more salt water drips on your car finish requiring a car wash after you get home. I tend to be a paddle till you drop type of guy - and the little cleanup extras really take a toll after a day on the water. Inexpensive trailers are available from Harbor Freight Tools for about $200 delivered. This is less expensive than a good set of racks once all the adapters, locks, etc. are added in.
