Ouch. Really sorry to hear you are having these problems.
Small claims court is a good way top resolve these kinds of things, but
I imagine you've already looked into that. Being thousands of miles
away complicates things.

I think posting here was a good thing. Mr. Morris probably will not like
having so many other builders knowing about this, and may be more inclined
to do something about it now. A few hundred pairs of eyeballs can change a
person's perspective.

I know this doesn't help the immediate situation, but I would suggest
using a credit card for these kinds of purchases in the future.
Often, you are protected from this kind of thing happening.
