Hi Scott, I can really appreciate your situation. In my imagination - you'd just as soon skip the deck design... but there's a woman involved :D Just kidding.

That design is going to look about 1,000 times better when you do it in wood. Then when you wet it out, the whole thing will darken and tone down. It's not exactly my cup of tea but it's going to look great when you're done with it. It's a ballzy move but you'll pull it off.

I'd be scared to death but it's not the last boat you'll make and it's not the box they'll bury you in. Take the plunge.
