I don't think it is really appropriate for people to get too deeply into discussions that really are a matter of artistic taste. I have never seen a kayak made by someone else where I thought "Yea, that is exactly what I would have done." It just doesn't happen. As a matter of fact I have never made a boat myself where I thought, "Yea, that is exactly what I wanted." There is always something I think I could have done better. That is much of the reason why I continue to make kayaks.
Your design is unique, striking and distinctive. That in itself is a worthy accomplishment, regardless of what some people may think of your aesthetic sense. My only concern is that some people seeing work like yours will be intimidated and will be reluctant to build their own kayak because they don't think they can live up to your standards. I hope people realize they don't need to be as careful as you to make a pretty boat.
