Scott,
I read all the posts last night on the discussion about the differences in opinion about your ongoing project. I hope you are not discouraged by the opinions of others. I think the ideas and design are incredible, the craftsmanship looks great. I know when I did my first boat, I thought it was probably the best looking boat out there. couldn't believe it came from my hands. Then I gradually saw and heard that others opinions were not quite the same as mine, at first it got me down a little, but then I realized that it was still, in my mind, a great looking boat to me. The boat your doing has some great lines, very, very nice. To me, that boat is in a class with few others, keep the pic's coming.

: To all who commented on the most recent Arica's Silver posting thank you for
: your comments. I must say that I was quite suprised buy the volume and
: variety of the comments. None of the previous postings has created such a
: discussion. The Arica's Silver website was created as a way to keep my
: friend Arica up to date on the progress of her kayak, as she lives several
: hundred miles away. The ability to share the same photos seemed with the
: readers of this board seemed like a good thing as well hence the various
: announcements of web site updates. I make my living as a professional
: photographer and in my daily work I use the process of shooting polaroids
: during the setting up of photos as a way to focus my vision and as a way
: for my clients to see what the finished photo will look like. The photos
: I've been taking of the mock-ups of the deck design work much the same
: way. I work slow and methodical in my photography and the same carries
: over to my woodworking. In the final design for the deck for this project
: the fore and aft desk will look much the same, both will have secondary
: branches and blossoms. For the final design the blossoms will be a redish
: wood rather than the Pink shown in the photos, and the branch will be some
: variety of highly figured hard wood. In the final design the branch will
: be thinned out a bit more,(I think it looks a bit thick), and there will
: probably be two sizes of blossoms with burned in detailing. I feel that
: the previous discussion was a good one, its always good to hear pros and
: cons.
