That looks like fun Chip. I thought the deck on my Chesapeake took a long time to strip because I used recycled lumber in short lengths, but most of them are 4 to 6 feet (not 1 or 2 inches like your design). I haven't tried glueing mitered strips like this, but I think it looks neat. Keep posting pictures of your progress. Here's a picture of the first few strips of pine on mine. I just finished stripping last night, other than adding accent strips where things didn't butt up just right. Who posted that discussion about not worrying with the ends (just use a pocketknife) at the butt joints and then cutting in accent strips along these areas and inserting it in place. Brilliant! I also really like Kent's strip and then cut-out methods. I'll get some recent photos up soon.
