: Quick question.
: What's a ball park range for the height of the front of the coaming?
: I just zip tied all my stringers and coaming in place and sat down in it and
: the deck feels too high. There is no seat in it yet but, it realy feels
: high.
: I started out with the Guillemot S&G hull but have gone my own route with the
: deck. (SOF) The front of the coaming is coming in at about 13.5 inches
: from top to bottom of the boat. I'm not looking for anything extream in
: either direction. Just a nice lower volume day paddler or the occasional
: weekend trip. What's everyone else's heights coming in at?

I think you're in the ball park if I understand correctly. Height of the deck above the floor at front of cockpit in my boat is abt 12.25, with the recess the coaming rim is abt same but I'm 6-04, it's low volume. I've seen production boats in the 13.5-14.0 range (depth)
