Jack,
I noticed that you and Myrl stripped the decks on your S&G Guillemot all the way down to the top of the "side panel". I think it looks better than what I did on some small sized models, using the "deck side panels" from the plans and stripping to there. But I do think it may be easier to use the deck sides and place a sheer clamp along the top to attach the deck once it's glassed inside and out. I'm just looking for advice one way or the other, or is it just personal preference? I'm interested in getting started on a S&G Guillemot hull that I can temporarily skin the deck (just like David Ross, I think) so I can use it this summer, then stripping the deck next winter. I don't know which way I'll do it, deck side panel or not. Any ideas?
