most satin varnishes I know of don't have uv inhibitors so check before buying.Captains flows on easier than Flagship, I used z-spars and interlux one part polyurethane varnish and like it, it's a little tougher. Honestly it does't matter a whole heck of a lot compared to how well you apply it. I suppose someone could make hardness tests and exposure tests but 5coats of one are going to hold up a little longer than 3 coats of another but rocks and rough use will necessitate a revarnish.
