Use thickened epoxy for bonding the channels - make sure both sides of the joint were sanded first. I used fumed silica to thicken my epoxy, but you could use wood flour (or most anything else that's handy!)

I got some small studs designed to be epoxied to a composite surface (from Aircraft Spruce & Specialty) that I used for mounting my footbraces. Worked very nicely - kept the tracks close to the hull.
