I am interested in building a rowing dory or other fixed seat rowing craft capable of hauling myself and a load of gear for long trips or 'not roughing it' trips. Sort of an all water alternative to a canoe.
I have seen a few plans out there as well as the more widely known kits from pygmy boats and clc-boats.
If you have built or paddled a good all around fixed seat rower I would like to share ideas with you and hear your experiences.
thanks, shawn
