When is the race, and what time? I'm going to be in Boston at the end of the month- maybe I'll bring my boat along and watch you guys from the water. I suppose it's too late to register. Is there a web site?

: varnish job. I seem to be the only wood kayak in the 19 mile race. I guess
: getting in and out at the portages can be hard on the bottom (hence the
: dings) There was a skin on frame boat two years ago that was incredibly
: fast (2:40). I do ok on the paddling sections but when I get to the half
: mile portages, the boys with the 30lbs kevlar racing kayaks go running by
: me and I start wishing I had used 4oz layup instead of the bomb proof
: Expedition layup.

: Oh well its still a fun day and the view of Boston when you paddle accross
: the finish line is spectacular.
