Matt, I have built kayaks from both companies. I do think that the temp forms for the Pygmy assist a bit in ensuring that the hull is "fair" (uniform in shape and symetrical). The CLC manual has you "twist" the hull before gluing and eyeball it to make sure that it is fair. Both methods work, but as I said, I think the Pygmy's may ensure a truer shape. I'm not sure I'd let that drive the decision, though, unless they seem completely equal to you in all other respects. All in all, if I were in your sandels, I'd pick the kayak model I like the best and go for it. Both companies have good kits. Have fun!
