Have you seen or considered a guideboat- they displace enough water to carry a moose- literaly, and they were designed to handle weeks of outdoor hunting and fishing. They are extreamly fast. Initail stablity isn't as solid as a traditional dory but much better then a canoe. They seat three with room for gear. Best of all- they look cool- my opinion anyway. that said- next year i'm gona build A whitehall pulling boat with a sail rig as well. Can't have enough boats.
