I've also built and paddled both CLC and Pygmy. Both are good boats, but, I prefer the CLC. I like the cambered deck, the bronze nails, the shear strips and the cockpit shape. I do like the Pygmy hatches better and have used the deaign on the CLC but with the Eddyline straps.
You'll not find better support than the good folks at CLC and at this website. The folks at Pygmy are nice also but no active website.
And last but not least, it is very easy to modify the CLC designs to accomodate any needs or desires that you may have.

Dan, satisfied with both but like CLC more.
