I went to that gathering, and definitely remember your boat, and the others. I was in awe at the quality of your double. As a matter of fact, after seeing your boat, and the others, I went back to the shop and turned my project into kindling. I am one of those guys that has to have something at least presentable, and my first try was not so nice. I've been back to the books and learned a lot about building, and am going to give it another try.

You turned me on to the Sealine foot rests, and I thank you very much. I put them in my Kevlar boat, and they save me much time whenever I let someone else try the boat, not to mention that they somehow gave me more toe room (beats me why it ended up like that, but it did).
