: Is there any consensus on the best tool for scraping epoxy? I have read about
: cabinet scrapers, glass, and recently heard of a tool by Hyde that is
: effective and has replaceable blades. I am going to start my first boat
: and would like to learn from everyone's collective experiences instead of
: buying an assortment of scrapers. One of the drawbacks with tools lacking
: replaceable blades is sharpening. I have read that mainataining the blade
: shape after sharpening multiple times can be difficult. That is why the
: Hyde tool has considerable appeal. Thanks
FOUND A PIECE OF 1 INCH STEEL STRAPPING. THE KIND OF STRAPPING THAT A SHIPPING CO. WOULD USE TO CRATE SOMETHING UP. CUT OFF A 1 FOOT PIECE - FOLDED IT IN HALF - LEAVING THE FOLD ROUND - TAPED THE TWO ENDS TOGETHER AND SHARPENED THE ROUNDED FOLDED PART ON A BENCH GRINDER. WELL, TO MY AMAZEMENT, I SCRAPED THE ENTIRE INSIDE OF MY HULL WITH THIS TOOL AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL.
ONE OF THE BEST TOOLS I EVER USED FOR THE INSIDE OF THE HULL.
