You can even check with home improvement stores and hardware stores for cable. Although you might find it galvanized and not stainless steel. Also check around for "aircraft wire" as its sometimes called.

I used "air brake line" from the NAPA store for sheath to run the cable through. It was inexpensive, although at first they wanted to sell the air brake line as a kit for about 400% more.
