Rob, thank you for the time spent on that one,,cutting that edge with the knife is a big part of the process.
My concern is the tremendous wear in that 6" long section right at the entry/stern. Dynel soaks up like a mofo, and two layers of 5oz polyester still doesn't withstand the kind of wear I'm talking about, a dash up the sandy beach to get out of the waves or a beat middle aged guy (not me) dragging the boat across the lawn.
Maybe polypropelene is it but I'm looking at that high wear area where something thick is needed.
