Just installed Seal Line foot braces in my Sea Spirit. I made angled backing plates out of clear cedar, and glued then to the shear clamps. I then attached the foot braces to the backing plate with screws through the hull side panels. More work on the screw heads will be needed to make them conform better to the hull panels. Also added a third screw for insurance, as I’ve never used these foot braces before.
