when looking at the seakayaker review of the complete rudder/peg ass'y there is a large backer plate to allow for changing from existing footpeg setups.

does this come with just the footpegs as you have? if someone was absolutely perfect would preinsetting anchor bolts in the shearclamp before gluing to the shearpanels be an approach? but still lose the width of the shearclamp i guess.

or is there any way to mount the rack from the shearclamp above so that the shear clamp is used vertically and future rudder pedals can then be mounted?
