man you are a problem solver, I never thought of wiring it back in on a flush glued recess then cutting it back out giving a reinforced edge to counter the springback,, You are brilliant. Hell I'd just glue some strips of 2" undirectional carbon under a transverse rib with the carbon extending to the edge of the hatch. If it's all done within a few hours and with fast epoxy there won't be much springback. I let the hatch cutout sit for a few days and had to force it back down on the rib, not good when the deck is glassed.
