Thanks for the good info everyone. I'm waiting to see if the lumber company might pay for shipping both ways before deciding what to do. But is sounds like I can still build with this if I want. I have some 4mm left from another boat I can use for the bottom panels.
I can build a hard chine, four panel or a multi-chine which would have smaller sized sections to reduce some flex.
