I have a question about poplar, I am doing a chevron pattern with a dark and light wood. I have some poplar in the shop that is a very white looking wood.
I know that in the outside world, poplar is very poor for holding up in the elements(rain, sun and the sort). And I know that it will all be covered with the glass and all. But is it a poor idea to use poplar in my boat because of it's durability?,,,, even though it's all sealed?
2nd ? can anyone direct me to a website that has good sizes of minicell foam for the seat project, I measured my seat that I had made for my other boat and it measured about 4" thick in places, and all I find is 3" thick at the most.
thanks,,,Ron
