I have a Delta contractors table saw. It doesn't have the T slot. The feather boards I've seen and use just cinch down in the miter gauge slot. For a hold down, I mount that to the fence. If you are happy with your saw otherwise, no need to get a new one. Probably the best thing would be to get a good book on table saw maintnence and tune-up, if you don't already have one. keeping everything aligned and working properly make it easier, safer and more accurate.
That said: I need to practice what I preach. I have the book but need to use it.
