My understanding that the anti-fisheye additive for paint and varnish is silicone. I.e. the substance that when on the surface causes fisheyes when added to the liquid and thoroughly mixed in reduces the occurance of fisheyes. The principle appearantly being that it makes the surface tension more equal with the contaminant so it levels out better.

This is not an experiment I would want to try, but after a little research the more daring with a real problem might want to give it a try.
