: Ok i need help here. I sanding down the hull. This is my first kayak and it
: is stapless. I have a few dips here and theer that i have planed and
: sanded away, but a few more are more prominent. i need to now how perfect
: is need to be before glassing. Can I build up epoxy and varninsh later to
: hide, or does it need to be perfect now?

As long as there aren't any pointy things sticking up you can slap some fiberglass on it. What you are working at now is aesthetics and how perfect is "needed" is an equation with two variables: your patience and your perfectionism. The more "perfect" you make it the "better" it will look, but it may take until next December for you to get it to where you really want it. Since you are asking the question, I am willing to bet you are about done. It may help to think about how the boat will look with a big long scratch running down its length. If you use it you will scratch it and will a little waviness in the surface matter once it is scratched up. You need to decide that for yourself.
