Oh, that's an easy one. Just try one of these lines:

"Hey honey, look at this fantastic design for a jewelry box. Don't you just love it? A planer would come in handy to make really thin pieces of birdseye maple for the case."

"You know dear, this cherry apothecary chest with 12 drawers would be perfect for holding your lingerie. The Leigh dovetail jig would make those drawer joints both beautiful and solid."

"Sweetie, this cabinet is not big enough to hold the new sewing machine you deserve. A shaper would work well for making the raised panel doors and would be a lot safer for me to use than trying to do them on the table saw."

Who knows, she might even sew you a spray skirt, cockpit cover and custom dust covers for your new toys, uh, I mean tools.
