I love super glue and once you use it, it becomes your right hand. In the sting ray type of pattern in the picture you will see 31 strips of Bass wood and Walnut each converging from opposite directions from 1/32" to over ¼". If I tried to glue such thin strips with carpenters glue they would curl, clamping would be difficult and it would take days to do. I used GOLD-thick-2oz-124846 along with GOLD Q-SHOT ACCELERATOR for an instant set (sold in WOODCRAFT cat.) When you put the super glue on one strip and spray the strip to be attached to it the glue action is instant. I use this glue in lots of ways. When I cut my triangular hole for the design to fit into the hull I put carpenters glue all around the edges but then held the pattern in place from underneath the hull with my left hand while I put a drop of CA glue one top of each side where the pattern and hull meet and then sprayed it with exccelator and bingo it was held in place until the yellow glue dried. I used CA to hold down hard bent strips on the ends while the rest of the yellow glue dried. The more I used it the more uses I found for it.
