The local team triathlon event (run-bike-canoe) is going to allow kayaks to particitpate for the first time this year.

The kayak specs must meet USCA K-1 requirements. The events website has a link to USCA. The length/width specs show a max lgth. of 17' 1" and a width of 20.08" min. width.

It would seem there are not many boats that meet these specs, at least not my Guillemot exp., at 19'Lx21"W.

Can anyone clarify kayak length/width specs for USCA flatwater kayak racing.
