I use CA glue when I need to bond two pieces that need clamping but are for some reason difficult to clamp. Like John said with the spray accelerator it is almost instantaneous, yet gives you a chance to get things aligned..
I also sometimes use a bead of CA glue around the ferrule of cheap resin "chip" brushes to help bind in loose bristles which would otherwise make a mess.
