Thanks John, that's a cool site and a beautiful boat. I like to see new innovative ideas, and it looks like Bill has been busy. I would love to end up with a kayak like that, absolutely gorgeous. I have just been thinking, and yes that's dangerous, that now it's Spring time, I would really like to get several kayaks done in the next couple of months, if possible. I need to quit tinkering with models, although I have just as much fun building them as I do real boats. This method of using the actual forms (no strongback though) and connect them with stringers, seems like the way to go. I know I could cut out and notch all 16-18 forms in no time, and immediately start assembly. The choice of materials and overall strength are the things I'm unsure of. Here's a picture of the inside of the model that I put together while sitting by the campfire at a lake cabin I just returned from. I just can't put these things down. HELP!
