Eric Sloan was a famous American artist who did a series of wonderful books like this one on
old fashioned tools, work methods, farming and home building. I wish I had
a set of his books. Snatch them up if you see one available.
Lee Valley tool has some older books available, I don't know if they carry any of the Sloan
books, but they might.
