I just finished the deck of a hybrid with bookmatched Eastern Red Cedar. It came out beautifully, but some of the designs look like Ink Blot tests that a psychiatrist would give to someone. Pamela

Use one all the time for dimensioning wood for guitar-building. Haven't
: needed to use it yet of kayak-building. I have thought of ripping a cedar
: plank in half to create 2 book-matched planks then running those boards
