: How often do you people in quakeland have noticable shaking?

Not as often as you folks think.
Shakers that size or bigger, probably every couple of years or so. Only a few real killers and not for a few years now. We get some little 3's and 4's, that are noticeable, probably a couple times a year, depending on how close you are to the faults. The San Andreas goes through our back yard here in the San Juaquin Valley and they have a couple good sized faults North and South of us.

You get used to it after the second or third one and then only the 6's or bigger ever bother you. Not too many of those that I know of.

I think Val Wann is sitting on top of one up in the Bay Area ( san fransisco ) and those folks down in the Southern Calif. Kayak clubs are surrounded by a few. I'm sure they get shaken quite ofter with the little 3's and 4's.

Add's a little excitement to life. Don't ya think??
