My Walrus is 18'5" long with a 23.5" beam and a little extra height at the cockpit. With all my gear I push the 200-LB mark. My boat handles much better with a heavier person. You might want to lay out your stations and start moving them back and forth till you get a nice shape that has good central volume along with a clean entry and exit. This might also force you to lengthen your kayak a bit.

Also follow Rehds' advice and use a synthetic skin.
