The Canadians had two stations closer to the epicenter. They are claiming a measurement of 5.5.

Rehd Round these parts surf the earth means you have a snow board on your feet and the powder is high. But I gotta say when you and Darren surf the earth.....WhoooooaH! You folks really literally surf the earth.

Its funny, I have a degreee in geology and for years have wanted to experience one. Years ago I was spelunking in a cave in PA that leeched open on a small ground fault. Were were 220 feet down and we felt like a truck drove over us and there was a big wind in the passage and the walls seemed to snake. My caving buddy and I talked about it being like an earth quake. When we got out and were getting out of our mud duds we heard on the radio that a 4.0 had occured about 70 miles away.

When I worked in Newport beach CA. Earth quakes happened everytime I returned east. So I never got the York peperment patty sensation.

I was down in the shop and looked around some of my chisels and clamps that were not put away appear to have danced a bit. I guess grid wall as shop tool storage is good for other reasons I hadn't considered.
