: "Small Craft Weekend, June 1 - 2" ...that's it for the listing at
: the Mystic Seaport site...
: is this the same as the show with many kayak builders, small boat makers,
: mfg's representatives, etc., that I visited a couple of years ago? The
: website sure isn't promoting it very intensely, and I want to know who
: will be there before I make plans. Does anyone have a link to exhibitors?
: I think, Nick, CLC, Newfound and Bobby Curtis were there the last time I
: visited...
The Small Craft Weekend is a different event than where you saw us before. The weekend is a small gathering of boat builders and is non-commercial in character. Basically it is a chance for boat builders to get together and see what the other guy built over the winter. It is fun with a wide variety of different boats that the builders are generally very happy to let you try. It is not limited to kayaks and although it is intended as a "traditional" boat event, often some of the boats are very much "non-traditional".
It is an enjoyable event, well worth going to if you are in the area. Last time I went the entrance fee was $35 which seems a little steep, but not outrageous.
: Thanks,
: John
