Forks WA is the closest town... Uh, does she like antique lumberjack equipment? That's what's in Forks. There's a rustic lodge on Lake Quinalt. Not much else out there: Indian Reservations, clearcuts. It's not like the Oregon or California coast. I sent the wife and kids to visit Grandma and went with a drinking buddy :)

I've got old growth Cedar in my boat... live in a wooden house. Hard to make a case against cutting trees. I think I'm drawn to the big ones out of awe and my love for the material.

Anyway, by all means come. It's a great trip.
