That sounds elegantly simple. Guess I'd better get experimenting and see what I like and don't like, can and can't do, etc.

: This is how it was described on rec.boats.building, IIRC: - Instead of
: beveling the edges, leave them square.

: - Where your stitches are, insert a short section of dowel under the wire
: before you tighten it. It will hold the panels in the proper relationship
: to each other, giving you an even joint.

: - Tab glue the seam(s)

: - Once the tabs cure, remove the dowels and wires, then fillet the inside.

: - Fill the gap on the outside

: I assume that the dowel diameter should be equal to, or slightly greather
: than the thickness of the plywood. I believe that this was done on the
: inside of the seam, but I can see where it might work as well or better on
: the outside in some places.If you have some scrap ply around, you might
: want to play with this idea. If it works, it sounds like a simple way to
: get an even seam.
