I decided to use a squeegee for the second coat of resin on my Outer Island. I considered a roller but West wanted about $4 just for one ... hey, what can I say, I'm cheap! So ... I was rummaging around in my favorite automotive paint store and found a cool rubber squeegee made by 3M. It's flexible, quite easy to use and I was able to easily spread out the resin super thin ... perhaps even too thin. The rubber material was compatible with my Rake resin and didn't disolve into a big black catastrophe on my deck. If you wanna check it out here's a description: It's 4-1/4" X 2-3/4" X .16" black rubber and made by 3M. Molded into the squeege is "3M WETORDRY Rubber Squeegee Part No. 05517.
