I have a pretty good idea what I'm looking for now. I think I'll get the variable speed Porter Cable Quicksand ROS. I've done all the pricing on internet sites. Now it will be interesting to see what Home Depot charges for the model I'm looking at. Too bad online sources won't accept my HD gift certificates.

Thanks for answering my questions. I knew you folks would know about sanders.
