I bought a Router Speed Control for $40 and discovered it has many uses. I use it the most to vary the speed of my Porter Cable ROS especially when sanding epoxy. I also use it on my 10" table saw when I install a sanding disk (saw blades spin at a much higher rpm than the best speed for sanding disks).
