Both boats are very quick, both boats handle rough water very well but differently. I'd contact Pygmy for owners in your neighborhood who will let you try their Coho or Tern. The Tern has a hard-chine and the Coho has a rounded-chine, so handling and edging in rougher seas will be different between the two boats. Have you had the chance to paddle a hard-chine vs. a round chine boat to determine which type you might prefer?
