I'm overwhelmed at the good vibes my enquiry has drawn from the Kayak fraternity. Despite the light hearted tone of my chat thus far, I am a very cautious old chook and am mindfull of the similarities between the sky and the ocean in terms of forgivness, you know the one about there being "Old Pilots and Bold Pilots but no Old Bold Pilots", I guess the same could be said for paddlers.

I will build my Kayak so that she is true extention of me, created out with love, she will be beautiful, my friend and guardian and will carry me in safely in pursuit of my dream.

Given a few days I will respond direct to those of you who included an
e- mail address. I will post my progress at regular intervals and bend all your ears when, as I no doubt shall, find myself as they say "Up a creek without a paddle"
