: Hi Canary, The fabric will tend to "float" off the surface of the
: wood during wet-out. It's hard to notice but when you run the squeegee
: over the wet glass a bead of resin will ooze out from under the fabric.
: It's not an uncommon problem. The other end of the spectrum is glass so
: dry (squeegee'd too much) that it's "starved".

: It's not a big deal. Your boat would be slightly lighter/slightly stronger
: without the waves. Don't sweat it; no one will know but you.

Two things will produce waves in the glass.

Too much resin will float the glass. This is why it's important to
squeegee off the excess so the glass is right against the wood.

Wrinkles in the glass. Sometimes the glass will hold wrinkles and because
the resin does not have any tack strenght it will not hold the glass against the wood.

If you try to lay glass onto tacky resin you'll have more problems than whackin a hornets
nest. If you have wrinkles that pop up from glass that won't lay flat, you can try going back
and rolling it down when the resin does develope tack with a special metal roller ment to
remove bubbles or you can just sand it flat.
