: Scott, any thoughts on why an area of nearly 10million people has gatherings
: of builders that are that small?

Lee,

I don't have a clue why the gatherings are so small? Joanne from Southwind Kayak Center has been holding these events semi annually for five years and the largest number of Kayaks ever to show up was 18. Its not an event that they promote alot. They publish the dates for them each Spring in their news letter and also on their web site I think but that is it. I've been posting the dates for the last two spring events on this board as well as the CLC Forum and think it has helped but still compared to the events I hear about up in Seattle and back east this one is nothing. I also think that the interest in building just isn't as high here. Perhaps the designers who sell plans who read this board could coment on what percentage of there plans are sold to this area, Southern Calif.
