: I have some epoxy resin and hardener that is about two and a half years old.
: It still works fine, but I am getting toward the bottom of the jugs. My
: pump won't reach the bottom. I have new resin and hardener arriving.
: Quesion: Do I go to hand pouring and measuring for the last half gallon or
: can I mix my new five gallon lot with the left over old resin I have and
: keep using my pump system? Same question for the hardener.
: Thanks
: Randy
You could go for the Picnic bottles and oral syringes and make a small batch set-up with the remains of your old stuff. I don't think there's a shelf life on either. I keep mine full and handy for any small glueing jobs or patches. Works well. Other than that, I don't see why you couldn't just use up what you have and add to it for a batch. ?? When I'm down to the bottom of a glue or resin bottle, I store it on it's top or side so all that left-over resin/hardener will come right out and not just coat the inside of the whole bottle when you tip it up to use it.
