Be careful with everything and expect the unexpected....I was sanding a piece of wood, about 1" x 3" x 2' long....instead of clamping it to a workbench, I braced it between my knees...a big chunk of the ROS rubber sanding pad broke off and hit me. Ouch!
Your examples, along with J. Monfoe's bad luck as well as mine should serve as a reminder for all of us to step back a minute, think about safety, remove loose clothing and jewelry, and tuck hair under a cap.
To ramble on, I almost got killed in college when an extra long scarf started to get caught in the belts of a large university bus I was starting with the remote engine compartment start switch; a girl I know (with waist length hair) went go-carting one day- leaned back in the seat and the drive belt caught her hair, causing permanent neck damage. Be careful. And wear your PFD!
